President Donald J. Trump first announced the Summit during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the White House on June 26, 2017. This year’s Summit will focus on four key business sectors: Energy and Infrastructure, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Financial Technology and Digital Economy, and Media and Entertainment. Under the larger theme, Women First, Prosperity for All, GES 2017 will highlight how investing in women entrepreneurs not only fuels economic growth, but also drives innovation to address the critical challenges communities are facing worldwide. When women do better, countries do better; and women’s economic participation creates greater economic opportunities and stability for all, including in the United States.
Organized annually since 2010, GES has become a preeminent annual gathering that provides over 1,000 emerging entrepreneurs with exceptional networking, insight, and investment opportunities. Through two and half days of training and mentoring sessions, networking, and investment matchmaking, the United States and India will forge new collaborations and launch new initiatives, while reducing the barriers inhibiting international growth and innovation. GES empowers entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, build partnerships, secure funding, and create innovative goods and services that will transform societies.
The Summit is a unique opportunity for bringing together entrepreneurs and start ups with global leaders. #GES2017
